Το Πεκίνο έχει προσπαθήσει μάταια να αποκαλύψει όλους αυτούς τους απατεώνες, που προσπαθούν να πουλήσουν πλαστά εισιτήρια μέσω του διαδικτύου και άλλα βραβεία, στέλνοντας μηνύματα σε κινητά τηλέφωνα.
Τον περασμένο Νοέμβρη οι αρχές της πόλης καταδίκασαν σε τρία χρόνια φυλάκισης έναν άντρα που παρίστανε τον υπεύθυνο των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων σε μια γυναίκα, από την οποία κατάφερε να αποσπάσει 50.000 yuan για την εξασφάλιση εισιτηρίων κατά την τελετή έναρξης.
